Hi. My name is Artem. I want to tell you why I created this app. 25 years ago, when I was 16, my girlfriend left me. A common story, right? A bioshock — that’s what it’s called. Chronic inflammation, dermatitis covering 90% of my face, 56 kg of weight. Everything hurt and itched. Every day. For years.
Doctors couldn’t really understand what was happening. And I couldn’t understand the main thing: why I reacted so strongly to something that happens to millions of people?
I found the answer only years later. As a child, my parents often sent me alone to other cities. For a child, that created a deep abandonment trauma. And when my girlfriend left — everything “stacked” into one point. My body couldn’t handle it.
When conventional medicine doesn’t help, you have two options: give up or keep searching. I searched for 25 years. Psychoanalysis. Cognitive-behavioral therapy. Hypnosis. Constellations. Esoterics. I built a team — psychologists, psychiatrists, neuroscientists — and systematically tested everything that promised results. Some things helped temporarily. Some didn’t work at all. I didn’t give up — I analyzed, looked for patterns, tried to understand the mechanisms. And here’s what I discovered. The problem isn’t what happened to you. The problem is the invisible patterns — the way your mind interprets events, how it reacts automatically, what conclusions it makes on autopilot.
These patterns form over many years. They’re subtle, but they keep us stuck in the same situations — in relationships, work, health, and our sense of self.
Vipassana turned out to be the method that allowed me to actually see these patterns. Not read about them in a book. Not understand them intellectually. But see how they work in real time — in your body, your thoughts, your reactions.
Vipassana is the practice of seeing things as they are. Without the filters of expectations, fears, or habitual interpretations. When you start noticing your automatic reactions, you finally get choice. You can act differently. It’s not fast. But 5–10–15 minutes every day — and gradually something begins to shift. You notice the moment when an old habit wants to switch on. And you can choose not to follow it.
One Meditation is an app for daily Vipassana practice. But not the lifeless kind you fall asleep to. I wanted the practice to feel alive. To address me by name. To take into account what’s happening in my life right now. I didn’t want to scroll through hundreds of recordings — I wanted to open the app and get what I needed today.
So here’s what I built:
The app knows your name and adapts the practice to your situation. This isn’t a template — it’s truly for you.
It’s based entirely on classical Vipassana. No esoterics, no magic — just a method that has worked for thousands of years. Every day you get a new personal meditation. Open the app, press play, practice. That’s it. You can also use a silent timer. With real singing bowls or without. There’s a practice counter and stats, because consistency is what matters most. Ten minutes a day is better than an hour once a month.
I don’t promise miracles. Vipassana won’t solve problems for you. But it will help you see what’s keeping you stuck. And once you see it — you can choose differently. It’s a path. A long one. But it works. I’ve walked it. And I want you to have the tool I wish I had 25 years ago.
If you want to start changing your reactions, begin with one meditation a day. The app One Meditation makes it effortless — open it, press play, and practice.
